The foreign exchange working group (FXWG) operating under the BIS is seeking to establish a single set of global principles of good practice for foreign exchange markets. The publication of the FX Global Code aims to define and promote a robust, fair, liquid, open and appropriately transparent market going forward. In addition, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) have published Markets in Financial Instruments Directives (MiFID) and the accompanying regulations (MiFIR). New legislation under MiFID II came into force on January 3rd 2018 and Best Execution is very much in the spotlight.

With a background of 25 years experience working in the financial markets, our first hand knowledge of the complexities involved when participating in the foreign exchange market is extensive. Having traded in the market for many years, our experience also includes establishing and heading up an Electronic Trading business at a large Investment Bank, and designing, developing and launching a trading platform for one of the largest ECN's in the market. Extensive experience also in the design and delivery of client analytics, business metrics and full transactional cost analysis.
